What I reckon we should is:
No matter who wins the competition this year we should send the Americas Cup back to America with detailed and graphic instructions how to shove it up their arse.
The rest of the world should then create a new competition with a new trophy and call it something like “The 7 oceans Cup” or “The 5 Continents Trophy”.
And as for lawyers, they should all be drowned at birth.

I don’t really see the opportunity for close combat match racing with these boats. This is what makes match racing so much fum.

@chuckcr well the race is pretty soon so we’ll wait and see who wins. larry is the one you started the frekking courtcases because he didnt have the right boat, and wanted time to build a new one.

amazing how they cant that awesome wing on BOR90, they actually sail the fucker with the rig going straight up! that’s a major improvement cause on a tri you have the rig much more to leeward than on a cat, again, both boats are fantastic! can’t wait to see G3 and BP5 race the jules verne, still code red, no window, these guys are awesome, not so full of shit! dekker and proffit sold their asses to bertie and are not onboard with cammas at this time!
As a one design racer I agree it is the purest form. I also agree that the prior box rule eras have produced great racing. This has been provided by mutual consent between the defender and Challenger of Record. We went off track in the 33rd edition when Ernie had a deal with a psudo-YC be the CoR. He was taking the rules into never never land. Thus, Larry had to get the BS club disqualified and take us into the current DoG match, cool boats, shitty racing! Come on 34th Edition!

the deed of gift has been made up over 150 years ago, this thing should be burnt and then they should come up with a box rule like in previous editions.
the only serious sailing is one design the rest is just a race of who can pull out more money and technology, nothing to do with sailing.

@TheClaudisurf…I doubt it would be in court if Ernesto had organized a fair defense. If he pulled half the shit he’s tried in the4 TP52 Med fleet EVERY team would be shooting at him.
