Oracle will not hold onto those one projected Growth Rates anymore. Offering a dividend was pretty much saying, okay we’re done here. Time to become a conservative mature company. Growth, no more….time to offer our stock to funds so that they can sell to old retirement folks

wow, he doesnt look 63 here.. it looks like his anti-aging foundation is working for him

foonashi November 29, 2009 at 10:30 pm

if he’s the fourth richest, how the hell is he not in the top 20?

SDSen November 29, 2009 at 10:30 pm

he’s not even in the top 20 …its you who needs to get the facts straight

foonashi November 29, 2009 at 10:30 pm

dude, get your facts straight. not many are richer than him. he’s the fourth richest man in the world, and only 3 are more affluent than him. you call 3 many? because i don’t, hence, i call it few.

SDSen November 29, 2009 at 10:30 pm

Yes! But there is a way of controlling and displaying ego like Warren Buffett and many others who r way more succcesful and richer than him!..He’s not even in the top 25 billionaire list anymore

SDSen November 29, 2009 at 10:30 pm

I admire Larry. I like reading his bio. He set an example for all American people. especially our young people.

You can’t have a weak ego and expect to be highly successful. Just like cars, the muscle cars will always make more noise and spew more fumes…but they go fast and chicks dig ‘em.

Yeah right. When a bunch of nobodies on Youtube criticize today’s crappy software, they are not whiners and bitching geeks, they are serious people, but when they do it from a podium as CEOs of a Fortune 100 company talking to 2000 people they are egomaniacs? That’s called achievement fags. STFU. The guy is brilliant. He predicted stuff that exist today or will exist soon, 20 years ago. Get your ass at the same level and then talk.

Larry is a nutter and if you read the book “Difference between Godf and Larry Ellison” you will see why. It’s the people Larry hired back in the 80′s that really set Oracle up. Sales guys Danny Turano and Mike Seashols. The biggest headcase was Mike Bennett, ad-guy. A morman by faith, Bennett’s company slogan was “God Hates Cowards!”. Oracle is tame by the standards Larry set in the 80′s and 90′s.

If you want know Larry well, read Mike Wilson’s “Difference Between God and Larry Ellison”. He’s a nutter of the first order, but the people he hired like sales guy Danny Turano, Mike Seashols and adman Mike Bennett are the cream of headcases. Bennett, a Morman by faith, ad company slogan was “God Hates Cowards!”.

Larry Ellison is my hero. With a net worth of well over a 40 billion dollars he is one of the best business persons in the world.

Fafonapili November 29, 2009 at 10:30 pm

Ellison by the way owns over 1 billion of those shares, at USD23 per share.. nice

Fafonapili November 29, 2009 at 10:30 pm

Yes it did, yesterday afternoon Oracles stock price was USD23.20

That was posted 2 months ago, did it happen.

Durafore November 29, 2009 at 10:30 pm

Most people dislike the man. He’s about as arrogant as they come. There’s someone who calls themselves the ERPWizard that rags on him pretty well. They’ve posted a couple of pretty funny spoofs on Ellison’s buying spree of smaller ERP vendors. You can find them by searching on ERPWizard.

Larry is an egomaniac and a toolbag

rockandfall November 29, 2009 at 10:30 pm

Okay, it’s June 12 2008 right now. Oracle’s stock price will hit 23-24 Dollars by end of July. An easy 8% return on your money in less than two months. If it’s past July, and you are reading this. Yes..I’m a smart savvy Investor
